Linda Phillips - Financial & Insurance Coordinator
Linda is one of the first people you will meet at our office, and you can count on her to help you with all of your scheduling, financial and insurance needs. Linda will admittedly talk to "anyone, anywhere", and she loves to get to know our patients and their families. Linda has been with our practice since the very beginning, and she joined us with over 10 years of experience as a dental assistant. Linda has been married to her husband, Bill, for 33 years, and they have 2 sons, Drew and Craig. Linda seems to have endless energy, and she loves to cook, do yard work, decorate and walk with her dog, Stanley.

Kathy Wirthman - Treatment Coordinator
As our treatment coordinator, Kathy will help guide you through your orthodontic journey. With over 22 years in the travel field, we were lucky to have Kathy join our practice in 2008. Kathy's favorite part of working at Newell Orthodontics is meeting and working with very interesting people, and she always greets everyone with a big smile. Kathy and her husband, Joe, have three children, Josh, Taylor and Alex, two dogs and a cat. An extremely hard worker, Kathy is always on the go, and in her free time, she enjoys decorating and home remodeling.

Linda Mathews - Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Linda is one of our sweet and talented chairside orthodontic assistants. She joined our practice in September 2010 with over 18 years of orthodontic experience. Linda loves to make our patients and their families smile, and we are very fortunate to have her as a member of our team. A native of Watkinsville, GA, Linda now lives in Elberton, GA with her husband, David, sons Tom and Eric and their dog, cat and guinea pig. Linda loves to smile, and she always encourages everyone to "keep smiling until 10 o'clock and the rest of the day will take care of itself." In her time outside of the office, Linda loves to cook, read and exercise.

Lisa Kitchens - Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Lisa joined our practice in January 2011 after working in the fitness industry for 11 years. Lisa lives by the motto that laughing is the best medicine, and she loves watching our patients discover and enjoy their new smiles. She lives in Jefferson, GA with her husband, Jeff, their three children, Jeff, Noah and Cherish, and their dog, guinea pig, fish and bird. Lisa loves spending time with her family, exercising and listening to all kinds of music, and she also teaches a popular fitness class in Jefferson on Fridays.

Katie Newell - Practice Coordinator
Katie is Dr. Newell's wife and our practice coordinator. She enjoys getting to know our patients and their families and working with her husband to build their family business. Katie loves the friendly atmosphere at our office, and you'll often see her working behind the scenes with her little helpers, Parker and Reese. Katie has her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from the University of Georgia. She loves to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys playing with her two chocolate Labs, running, traveling and photography.
